I have taken in an underweight mare and foal. She is truggling to feed it as her teast are sore.
They came through the fencing from an adjacent field. The field they were in is 5 acres with 13 horses. There is no grass and 2 acres is just mud. Around the fieldshelter the horse muck is ankle deep.
I have 2 horses on 6 acres & manage my paddocks carefully so I end up with a crop of hay as well. This is so I can afford to keep my horses.
I am prepared to let them graze but wondered what my rights are?
I have rung the RSPCA several times & they have not done anything. I'm still waiting for a responce on the mare & foal.
I'd like to call the vet to give them a checkup but who pays?
Is there a charity out there that will help with the financial side?
