Here is my Irish cob colt, he is nearly 2 and has one undescended testicle. The vet has been out twice since I’ve had him to have a good feel and has said it’s no where to be found. He said with some colts you can just feel the tip of it and that’s enough to know it’s on it’s way but he can’t feel anything. I’m just a bit worried because he’s taken a liking to a mare in a field adjacent to where he is and he’s not been eating as much and will call over the fence to her all day forgetting and grazing, Leading him is like leading a 20st toddler to open his present at Christmas! He’s so full of it. He is lovely and not much trouble just ‘coltish’ so it takes two of us to bring him up from the field (I live on a bridal way so I don’t want to risk a rider coming as I’m leading him up and him getting excited without an extra pair of hands) Anyway the vet said I have two options; wait until he’s 3 because most have come down by then or have the bigger operation in March before the fly’s start. What would you do?
