unfair forums and online bullying

there is a well known forum that several people have recently left due it being moderated unfairly i wondered if other people had found this on any other forums and what they did about it.

Best thing to do, is leave the forum, request you are unregistered and let them get on with it....

As a moderator on a fairly populat chat room, i think people need to think about what they post before posting it, as if its bound to stir up emotions etc then you will find people have a go, i have been on both sides i have felt "bullied" but to be honest rise above it, and as for unfair modertors when we get lots of complaints from other board users sometimes we have to be pretty stringent on the moderterating !

Actually, the new lounge is purely for horse related posts. Maybe you mean the soapbox.

I had one incident on another forum. Long story, but someone sent me some pictures of a horse which might have been suitable for me to buy. Thought about it, and didnt go and see the hors, long way away, and I didnt think it would be right for me.

Said person then sent me abusive messgaes, posted defamtory things about me on everything I replyed to/posted, and it really upset me, as I hadn't done anything wrong. Needless to say, I got the admin to unregister me, and came here instead.

There are so many forums about that no-one needs to stay where they don't feel welcome.
