I have my injured tb out in a field hlf an hr from my house, just got a txt to say he isnt looking terribly happy - hes stood on his own at the other end of the field to the others. :( ill go cuddle him when i finish work hes been out there for 6 months now hes probably missing the contact, plus theres only 3 of them left now, 3 others have gone back up the yard to start work. Only 4 more weeks until he can come home and have daily cuddles! Miss seeing his face on a daily basis

Its not a pointless post. my mare is 45 miles away (long story) and its horrid so you go and cuddle your horse and have an understanding hug from me x
 
Assuming he's friends with the other horses he's out with, could whoever sent the txt make sure that he's OK as you can't be there straight away to do it? I don't want to alarm you, but often horses take themselves off on their own if they are not feeling well for any reason.
 
Thanks everyone for the replies :) sorry i cant quote (on phone!!) he was like it at the weekend when i went to see him vital signs all good and he started to mingle with the other 2 by the time i left im hoping hes just feeling a bit lonely (i know thats harsh but i just hope hes not ill in anyway!) as it wasnt that long ago that the recent one left. Hes unrugged atm as weather was nice at the weekend so ill pop his lightweight on this eve see if that perks him up a bit. He wont be lonely in a few weeks when he comes home my 5 yr old is guna smother him in kisses and never leave him alone the horse hes currently out with wont play with him! I know for a fact my TB will join in his antics!!!
