So my amazing share pony Connie spooked properly today! First time since I started riding him in January. If he’d done then what he did today I’m not sure I’d have felt he was brave enough for me! Good news is I can still sit spooks!
First one was a noise in the field behind a hedge and he shot forward a few strides of canter soon settled. Second one was in trot up a headland when a bird flew up and he spooked sideways and ended up facing the other day in the crops!
Bless him! All fine on the way home.

He clearly thinks you're qualified to cope now! Pocholo is just the same, the more experienced the rider the cheekier he will be.

(I probably shouldn't mention that he went too far the other day and his loaner came off for the first time in four years of riding him - she was very embarrassed and he was very contrite! He's been on best behaviour since.)

Ha ha. He’ll always be a character that one!
