I have recently bought a pony and long story short had it checked over to find her teeth indicate she is alot older than stated on her passport. The vet also found a microchip which is not shown on the passport. The microchip is quite an unusal one and i would love to know if i can find out any info from the microchip found?
Does anyone have any advice on ways i can identify this pony!?
thanks

get your vet to phone Petlog. They keep a record of microchip numbers. It could be that it is a really really old chip, or a foreign chip. How is the number formatted out of interest?

surely it can't be beyond the vet, or with some sleuthing from yourself if the microchip people will talk to a 'member of the public' rather than a vet, to get the info off the chip? That is, after all, the whole point of the chip? Hope you get it sorted - kind of fascinated in this one, intrigued to see what it turns up. x
