OH and I decided a couple of weeks ago to start looking for a third dog, the intention being for Dobby to have a playmate as Fizz is getting a bit miserable as she gets older and eventually, hopefully enjoy sports.

OH was sure he wanted something smaller (I wanted a collie) but we assumed it would take 6+ months to find someone suitable who Dobby liked......meet Ginny who came home on Sunday ;)

She's a sweet little soul, around a year old and entirely obsessed with Dobby and the feeling is mutual although he does need to learn how to play with someone who doesn't play as rough as some of his collie friends. He keeps bringing her toys to tug with but then gets over enthusiastic and worries her. Fizz likes her as much as Fizz likes anyone, she's played with her every morning and has even shared her sofa with her but she's fairly aloof with everyone, human and canine.

She needs

She's darling. I love her type, sort of the generic. healthy, all around mix. And if she is a particular type/breed I apologize in advance.

She is gorgeous and looks like my old rescue girl who was a wonderful dog. We only had her just under 3 years as she was older when we got her. She was a wonderful loyal gentle girl who became an instant family member. Enjoy her :)

Glad you have found a playmate for Dobby who Fizz approves of too. She looks to have settled in happily. Nothing like a rescue of unknown breeding, I have had many over the years, always great characters.

They look happy! We got Lola via MrsM as a similar sort of playmate for Floyd, but not totally sure how it would work out. They adore each other. Our older dog Dylan, just does his own thing and Lola and Floyd have a really sweet little love affair going on. I have seen Dylan being quite sweet with her as well when he thinks no one is looking! Then they go out and all run like lunatics together. Its so nice when they all get on and you know its the right mix.
