Unladen weight of 7.5t lorry

Any idea if this will be noted in any of the vehicle paperwork or whether the only way to find out is to take it to a weigh bridge? Thanks.

Safest way to find out is to take it and get it weighed.

I took mine to a weighbridge and it cost less than £10.

This is what I thought. Unfortunately we don't seem to have any public weigh bridges in the entire county so will have to see if a local quarry will let me use theirs!

Or get it break tested...... That will show you the un laden weight and double check brakes are all in working order.

Somewhere on the paper work from your last plating there should be a figure of what your lorry weighs, but when I had mine weighed at a local scrap metal yard, it came in a lot lighter than the VOSA weight, so not sure how accurate the VOSA one is!

Thanks for that. It was only plated a few weeks ago so shall scrutinise the paperwork better as obviously missed it!!!

Look at the roller brake test print out. It will give the axle weights ,add the two together.

Out of interest, what does yours say, if you've managed to find it ann-jen? Mine was around 6.4t, but on the weigh bridge mine came in at just under 5.8, and although I had taken some stuff out it was nowhere near half a tonne!

Yes mine works out approx 6.3t by adding the two axel weights together :-/
