Good afternoon HHO folk!

I'm looking around at different chaffs/chops as there seems to be lots around much cheaper than Thunderbrooks one I'm currently using. £15 isn't much of course but I fancy possibly changing for something maybe a little less!

I have seen Baileys Light Chaff which looks good, unmolassed and low calorie.

I would be so grateful to have any other suggestions/recommendations please? :)

I use Fibergy - can get a bag for around £10/11 near me. Feeds three horses with differing workloads, 1 youngster, 1 ex-racer and 1 veteran prone to azoturia who is the one who especially needs a low sugar/high fiber diet. They all do wonderfully on it and a bag in winter lasts about 3 months between them. Would recommend this feed over and over again :)

Top Chop Zero - fantastic stuff
HiFi molasses free

This is what I use for my pony, he hasn't got PSSM but I'm very wary about what I feed him.

Countrywide natural fibres chaff is like the poor persons version of agrobs leichtgenuss and substantially cheaper from what I can work out, I'm going to give it a try next time I need some more chaff.

Its not really. I've used both and as chaffs go its one of the better ones but its not nearly as nice or as good quality as Agrobs

Thank you. I'm assuming Top Chop Zero is unmolassed? It doesn't say anything on the website from what I can see!

Damn. Thanks for the heads up :) Mind you, my last 2 bags of leichtgenuss have been seriously dusty, has anyone else noticed this or have I just been unfortunate?

I spoil mine with Honeychop light and healthy (but their chopped oat straw is great too). L+H has added herbs and interesting stuff, but no soya, alfalfa or molasses, full details on the website.

I've got mine on the plain honeychop oat straw. Speedy T loves it, Diva is less fussed.

I use it purely to encourage chewing rather than inhaling of Balancer!

Is Top Chop Zero oat straw or ha sit got something else in it too?

Countrywide natural fibre - mix of oat straw and meadow hay etc with added mint. £7 for 12.5kg. All mine have it and used to be on tb chaff.

TopChop Zero! Tried HoneyChop oat straw but found it very poor value compared to the TopChop. Around the same price but bag was 5kg lighter and it doesn't have the mint and apple flavour added.
