Can I join too? I am still a professional proofreader and copy-editor, despite the fact my OH thinks I spend all my time with the horses and none doing any work ...

My current bugbear is confusion among 'palate', 'pallet' and 'palette' - the Times the other day had an artist mixing colours on his palate, which must have been pretty awkward.
