Unproductive, yet awesome afternoon!

I was planning to meet B's owners down where she is currently grazing the other day so she could distract the little monster while I rode so she didn't chase us round the field and get under our feet. Owner was going to bring tack and grroming kit etc so I arrived armed with nothing.

I sat there for ages waiting for owner to arrive and there was no sign of her. I literally just sat in the field with B and the little monster for two hours chatting to them and bonding and taking rather a lot of cute pictures of B almost on her knees so she could groom the mini shetland she lives with.

Owner never arrived, she'd been held up and couldn't get hold of me to let me know and by the time she managed to get through to my mobile I'd already hopped on a bus and got home lol

Was a totally unproductive afternoon but I had so much fun doing nothing with them! Anyone else sometimes enjoy doing nothing but spending time with their horses??

YES! My favourite is sitting in the stable watching my mare sleeping. She snores for Britain and it cracks me up

When I was a kid, I used to take a book to the yard and just sit in the stable reading it, interupted by my pony coming to check me out from time to time and blow hay seeds over the pages. Bliss.

I've sat in the field with the horses enjoying the peace and quiet and just being there watching them graze. So relaxing *sigh*
