Unrealistic pipedreams..

To have the confidence in my ability to bring on my lovely little 6 year old mare to a decent standard so we can enjoy life .. oh and to hear friends say what a good job I've done.

I have always kept mine small, so I have done a great many of them.

A couple more will happen (all being well) next year.

I don't want to jump great heights, or ride a dressage test in front of 10,000 armchair critics, or go around Badminton - which is just as well because I am a crappy rider ;)

My completely way out there dream would be to have a yard with competition sized indoor and outdoor schools. An all weather cross country schooling arena complete with banks, water complex etc. All weather gallops. Cross country courses to cater from nervous novices right up to 5*. Vast acres of woodland and open fields with hogging tracks, fun woodland jumping tracks, a river/lake for water schooling. Private tarmacked lanes with access to off-site hacking. Close to beach riding. Stables with plenty of storage for equipment for liveries etc. All to my own exacting designs of course. :)

Totally affordable if you move continents ;)

I know someone who has a property that sounds like your dream, perfectly affordable.

Depends what you call vast acres, just down the road from me there is 80 acres for sale, I don't class that as anything but a largish hobby farm myself. Good house, 40 stall horse barn, outside all weather arena, other big barns on the property, good hay fields, nice oak woodland, sandy loam, easy access to main highway, 15 minutes from biggest town in the area, great off road riding, $800K, and that's over-priced for this area, no idea what that is in English money.

Yeah but this is about the slightly crazy never gonna happen dreams haha.

Like me saying I would like to go around badminton. I freak out at a cross pole 'fence' so yeah... never gonna happen. My horse would probably love it with a decent rider who has no fear to speak of but I could never do it. Even a novice cross country course isn't likely.

We will start at the 45 cm and see how we go from there. :P

Approx £540k. That's incredible.

Isn't it quite hard to get a visa to live in America though? (as in, I'd love to but I don't think they'd have me!)

To have the balls to go hunting and take on the big hedges up front.
Would also love to ride at HOYS, on a stonkingly gorgeous dapple grey hunter/working hunter, and win!!!

To go back in time in order to start riding as a child rather than in middle age. To not have wasted so much time not owning my own horse until 53. To have my second horse my delightful 12yo mare well so that I can start enjoying her before I reach my dotage x

Mine is to buy my favourite horse, who belongs to a showjumper that I used to work for. He is already worth upwards of £30,000 though, so I know it is an unrealistic pipe dream, but that doesn't stop me dreaming it :D

He is super though, I absolutely adore him and although he is quite a difficult horse I like to think we have a bond and get on very well. Even though I'm not such a great rider :)

That would cost millions in the UK :( But hey, one day I might win the lotto and buy the yard I'm at and make it my dream :)
