To have the confidence in my ability to bring on my lovely little 6 year old mare to a decent standard so we can enjoy life .. oh and to hear friends say what a good job I've done.

To learn how to school western horses. Have ridden them a little but want to learn a lot more.
My completely way out there dream would be to have a yard with competition sized indoor and outdoor schools. An all weather cross country schooling arena complete with banks, water complex etc. All weather gallops. Cross country courses to cater from nervous novices right up to 5*. Vast acres of woodland and open fields with hogging tracks, fun woodland jumping tracks, a river/lake for water schooling. Private tarmacked lanes with access to off-site hacking. Close to beach riding. Stables with plenty of storage for equipment for liveries etc. All to my own exacting designs of course.

Totally affordable if you move continents![]()
I know someone who has a property that sounds like your dream, perfectly affordable.
Depends what you call vast acres, just down the road from me there is 80 acres for sale, I don't class that as anything but a largish hobby farm myself. Good house, 40 stall horse barn, outside all weather arena, other big barns on the property, good hay fields, nice oak woodland, sandy loam, easy access to main highway, 15 minutes from biggest town in the area, great off road riding, $800K, and that's over-priced for this area, no idea what that is in English money.
I have always kept mine small, so I have done a great many of them.
A couple more will happen (all being well) next year.
I don't want to jump great heights, or ride a dressage test in front of 10,000 armchair critics, or go around Badminton - which is just as well because I am a crappy rider![]()
