Unspooky TBs!

Just a little cheer for the much maligned TB - my boys were hacking out on top of a hill yesterday and 5 fighter jets bombed loudly overhead on their way to the Armed Forces tribute in London. Didn't bat an eye - just stood around trying to eat the yummy grass. I was very proud!

Anyone else have good-as-gold TBs?! I know you're out there somewhere!

Yes, I have one that I'm hoping to sell soon.
So far he's proved to be pretty unflappable!

Funny, we had three TBs at the yard a while ago and we used to hack them all out together, they went over bridges, past tractors etc without batting an eyelid. But take one of them out with a nice sensible bomproof cob and it suddenly becomes a game to see if they can set the said nice bombproof cob off!

I think a lot of TBs are far too intelligent for their own good.....

I have 2 ex racers TB's - both hack out on busy roads etc and never turn a hair!

I've got one too that isnt spooky. Ride him any weather anywhere and not bothered about anything.

My ex-racer is fab. Rarely spooks at anything & babysits all the loons when hacking. He is the noseyest horse ever! If I'm riding indoors he stares over the gate everytime we go past it just in case there's anything exciting happening.

Got one who ive just had to retire and he was a saint!!!

New cob is a nightmare thou, does the splits every time he spooks!! Wish i had stuck to my TBS!

yup - we have 2 exracers and they hack out on busy roads without batting an eyelid... we very often get Chinook helicopters flying low over out school and niether bother, nor do they bother when hacking out beside the army firing ranges with guns and explosions going off, they are quite literally bombproof!

Mine was very unflappable last year, gone a bit spooky since turning 5. He's ok with lorries, tractors and microlights, but has issues with cyclists (motor and bicycle) and quad bikes. I want old unflappable Ronnie back

My retired ex-racer girlie was fab to ride...if she did spook at something she would then go straight up to it, she is nosy!!!
Had hot air balloon land in the field next door to us once...she never minded.
Went past a carnival in a village with the lorries (floats) with streamers and balloons, music, kids, band playing...she didnt do a thing!!!
She can be slightly bonkers(!) but I would always consider her brave..and far more intelligent then me really!!!

Well I don't know if 7/8 TB's count but mine really is bombproof. When out on a hack a motobike fell over on it's side and skidded into him hitting his back legs. He calmly stepped over the bike and let me get off to check his legs! His brushing boots protected him and he escaped with minor cuts. I never ever have to worry about what I'll encounter when out on him, he's one in a million!
