Not sure but it is quite funny!!! petty squabling and bitchiness around hunter jumper type horse people must be global :D Oh and some of the girls are easy on the eyes if you get my drift!!!:D
 
I have just been watching a marathon of this show tonight, loving it, in a wierd kind of way,whilst also mulling over the fact that, good gaaads, i used to have a life...........
 
i came across it lastnight when trying to deal with a mountain of receipts for my tax returns. was wondering at first if it was supposed to be a reality type programme, ie: cameras following rel people, but came to the conclusion when watching 2 grooms trying to load a horse when the horse put 2 front feet on the ramp and just stood there, they decided it was an impossible situation and just put the horse away again and went home- that it was all a set up.

Nobody working with horses can really be that useless. Can they?:D


could do without all the feel good slushy muzac and slo mo footage of horses galloping around pasture which if you add it together would take up at least 25% of the episode i reckon. Maybe their target audience are 14?!

It is quite addictive watching if only for how s** it is!
 
I watched this for the first time yesterday, and TBH, I was cringing!! I really couldn't work out why these girls worked with each other, as all they do it bitch behind each others back! And they all love a bit of rank pulling don't they, "I am the yard manager..."

Sorry if you like it, but it was all too much for me! I'm not sure its even a real "fly on the wall", all seems a bit put on??

I used love it and hate it all at once!! I would find myself cringing and quickly flicking channels but before I know it, I'm back to H&C watching it!

We have recently moved and new house has Virgin Media = NO H&C!!!!

This is hell for me!! :-)

I was trying to work out if they were really that clueless or if their usual method of loading horses would have had the American RSPCA prosecuting if it had been shown on TV . There was also an interesting episode where the groom went looking for another job and complained about the amount of poo that needed picking up, made me wonder if there were actually little minions who do all the grafting back at the 'barn' :rolleyes:

My girlfriend doesn't have Horse and Country tv and I think she would love it!!:D
 
Just had a look on H&C online because I love a bit of late night cheese ;) It's not there that I could see though :(
The website is rife with Parelli stuff though which gives me chills :(
 
Ugghh, is this the Canadian show? If it is, it's an awful show. My friend is friends with Megan. The show was pretty much scripted.

And the barn is a good example of a not good hunter jumper barn.... lots of overbitting and tight draw rein use. Good example of women with rich husbands and parents that bought them horses...... All the gear and no idea. Unfortunately, a common type of barn in Ontario.


A good Canadian hunter jumper training facility would be the Ballards (Looking Back Farm), but you won't see a reality show of them, ya know 'cause they're actually busy training horses and do a damn good job of it.

The first episode is on h&c tonight and they're showing it every day from the start, I just LOVE it the bitchiness is HILARIOUS I just can't stop laughing! Especially at the horse show when the two girls have that huge fight :D:D:D:p It's so scripted! then when she's talking about it and gets up, throws off her microphone and storms out :D:D:D:D:p priceless!
 
Ha Ha, I think its hilarious, I'm sure my other half would love all the bitchiness!
