Hi!
These photos are of my 3 year old gelding called Ronnie. He is 14.2hh. His passport says he should make 15hh and is a Norwegian Fjord x. Really do not know what he is crossed with. (have not been able to find another horse like him) any ideas?

Neither Welsh nor Fjord purebreds are coloured, so I'd hazard a guess at a coloured cob type cross bred.

Attractive colouring whatever make and model he is :)

Thank you, for your replies.
I thought about him being crossed with a cob, but he has quite long legs and is not that heavy. I am not sure that he will make 15hh as he has not got any taller since last year, but he grew from 13.2hh - 14.2hh over the first winter we had him, and has filled out but not got any taller since.
This is a photo of him the month before we bought him. He is a bit thin, as he was a rescue case.

He is beautiful. I don't normally like fjord x's but he looks like he will make a very handsome chappy! I'd say he is probably a fjord x cob - just look at those lovely feathers! Fjords are normally feathery but nowhere near as much as he's got!

Id say crossed with a cob x????

Asin...he looks welshie shaped, but elshies nor fjords are coloured so he muct have got that from somewher so maybe hes half fjord, half welshiexcob??? Or half fjord half something with a bit of welsh in it, a bit of cob and maybe some form of leggy creature too???? You could go on guessing for days.

Lovely lovely horse though!!!

Fjords crossed with cob/native types tend to produce something very 'rotund', to put it politely :) - I've known several.

He looks much too leggy so I would suspect the other half could be a coloured trotter/standardbred. His head reminds me very much of our standardbreds.

Don't know what the other breed is but he is going to be lovely. The dorsil strip he has is the same as my old Fjord cross and just looking at it brings a tear to my eye. Be prepared for PLENTY of charater with the Fjord in him!
