No pics I'm afraid..horse was at big Irish dealers yard in England
Was told the Irish freezemark them like that but have never seen it before on other Irish horses.
It also looked like a hot brand rather than a freeze brand.
Couldn't see any other brands on him either.

Strange then....might be worth phoning up the dealers or the irish sport horse folk - they might be able to shed a bit of light on it.

Sounds possibly like a freeze mark, I have seen them in some strange places before have you got a picture, one of my ponies has wierd brands and I have never found out what they mean.... She has 2 big letters on her withers followed by SHE in little letters to the top and right of the big letters and then she has SHE on he thigh as well...bizarre!!

It's a hot brand and found out there are two more numbers the opposite side too.
