Hi

I'm writing another feature for Horse magazine - this time it's on unusual places to keep a horse. It could be in the centre of a city, up a mountain, in the middle of a lake (on an island, hopefully) or somewhere far more exotic. Just a place you woudln't expect to find horses.

I'd love to hear your stories - please email my direct at charlotte@herdesk.org.

thanks loads

A friend of my mothers met a woman whose 15yo horse was about to be PTS on vets advice because he was a severe cribber. Being a big softie, she immediately 'rescued' him and took him home...

...to her terraced house, and put him in the garden.

That week, she found some grazing, and bought a companion so he wouldn't be lonely.
He lived another 16 years.
