Does anyone know of any shows coming up this year in the above areas? I want to take my yearlings out and about. One is a coloured sporthorse hunter type and the other a part bred cob. Also in hand veteran for my ID mare. There is very little it seems here in Lincs . Anyone know of anything with suitable classes? Just little ones will do as it will be their first time anywhere.

Riding diary usually have all the local shows, in south yorks you could google, Epworth show and Tickhill, Bishop Wilton is out humber way i think. Some of the big shows have a much nicer atmosphere in my opinion. I did a few locals last year and wasnt placed as well as at county level, IMO some of the smaller shows tend to be a bit clicky.

Epworth Riding Club have an open show on Monday 3 May. There isn't a huge amount of showing classes but its normally fairly busy without being crazy!! Their wwebsite is www.edrc.co.uk. You could also have a look on the Riding Diary website. Good luck :)

Thanks for that epworth might be good, a few classes to suit there. I had considered doing Lincolnshire county as i live less than 10 mins form the showground but don't think i'm confident enough or the neds good enough!!!! Maybe some smaller shows will boost my confidence should we do well!!!!!!!

Come to Epworth! Think there's going to be some good classes this year as they are looking at affiliations for some of the showing classes. I run the jumping but that's not much use to you yet lol

rudey took her then yearling to crowle i think i was which was good because it was a fairly small show and he could get used to the atmosphere. I'd just keep an eye out in the papers and the local tack shops- mady masons in scuthorpe usually are really good at keeping leaflets for all the local shows!

Wow thanks for those links, very helpfull. After an evening research i now have found 10 shows all within an hour of home that will have suitable classes fo my lot, some bigger than others starting May through to September all nicely spaced apart, so we will be busy!!!!

Ok yes will do that. First one is the epworth saddle club open show on 3 May for my yearling coloured filly thats if i can get her out of her winter woollies by then!!!!!!
