I posted the other night about the chavvy neighbours stallion escaping into the other neighbours field and chasing their gelding. The gelding is so stressed that he has had to be moved to the neighbours farm. He had hidden for 24 hours and was still terrified.

The chavvy lot have managed to apologise and the good neighbour has told them to have it gelded. The woman tinks this is a god idea, but the bloke isn't keen 'cos he thought is animal looked good galloping round the field!

They have proised to keep it in until they can build a fence. Goodness how long that will take and how mch use it will be then. Anybody any ideas about legal methods of sorting this potential disaster out?

I would have thought there maybe something in law that the owners of the gelding maybe able to get compensation for having to move their horse and stress to the animal because they couldn't keep theirs in, which they are required to do but as you can tell I don't really know but you could report them to the police and welfare societies because they are obviously not upto keeping this horse in a way that they are required to do.

I wondered about the selfare societies, but having read the posts about the gypsy foal the other night am not sure how much use they would be!

well if they are going to have it gelded and have promised to keep it in until the fence is sorted then i dont think theres anything more you can do?

Is this the reason the chap wants to keep the horse entire?

Forget cutting the stallion, I would geld the owner!

Does the man know that they only take the plums off when they are gelded, not the legs! Tell him the horse can still gallop when it is castrated, in fact, it would probably be a happier horse altogether.

Thanks all, I particularly like the idea of gelding the owner! Unfortunately you no longer need a license for a stallion (I checked!) Seriously considering ILPH. Will let you know how we go on.
