Thanks for all your replies to my post last night
I did finally go to sleep at 2am this morning (no, I did'nt drown the hamster, I got the dog to eat it
)
Went to ride Monty today after spending the day feeling slightly sick
It was raining so I was kind of hoping the lady who's schooling him was a fair weather rider, but he was all tacked up ready.
She long reined him to the school then lunged him for a while on both reins with the two long reins. He looked fantastic
so much more happy, comfortable and that he was enjoying his work
She got on first for a few circles on both reins and was talking through what she was doing, she makes it look so easy
I got on and he felt fantastic
He was so short, stuffy and he always looked uncomfortable before. It was almost as though someone had taken off the handbrake. He is so forward and free
I'm so happy with him and what she has done with him. I cannot wait to get him home, she has explained it is going to be a long process but I think with her help at home it'll definately be worth it
Going back on Thursday so hope to get pics
