Update and a sad goodbye...

Thank you all very much for you kind words, I wanted to reply last night to you all but had a bit of a sob instead.
Its not until I look at the pics I realise we actually achived a fair bit, not on paper but I massively over horses myself when I bought him yet I managed to step up and learn to ride him. He taught me so much and gave me a real taste of what a proper talented horse felt like, there wasnt a feeling like it jumping over big fences on him.
Thank you all again

What a lovely horse he was Vam. I'm sorry that you were unable to get him better. :( Your pictures made me shed a few tears as it reminds me of how precious the good times are with my boy xx

I remember seeing a few of these photos before and commenting on how beautiful he was. I am truly sorry you have lost him, i can tell just looking at your face you adored him and he you. You are a wonderful caring owner, he was very lucky to have you x

I remember seeing your pictures of him. He really was super. Im sorry for your loss, how lucky you were to have each other though xx

So sorry to your news, always used to read your posts about him. What some amazing photographs and showing how much fun you must have had together.

OMG I am so sorry, I was thinking about you and him the other day, as I remember you had field issues and was even going to PM about things like turnout, yards etc but I am glad I didnt as would have been atrocious timing. You achieved lots and you always seemed in awe that you owned a horse like him. xx

I know we don't know each other, and I rarely comment on threads like this but I couldn't read this and not comment. Looking at the photos, you can see what a happy horse he was. In every picture, you can feel it. And you look so proud to be on board. A true partnership, you clearly loved each other very much.

I am so very, truly sorry for your loss. A brave and selfless decision on your part. My most sincere condolences x

Your post made me well up...lovely tribute. He looks gorgeous, you have a great set of pics to remember him by. Best of luck with your horse hunt.
