They look good Tia. Are you using Camrosa? Ive been using it on my new irish horse's cuts - working a treat.

No I've been using Furacin (do you have that over there?) but once they seal a little better then I will likely switch to Camrosa. There doesn't appear to be any proud flesh growing yet so that's good, but where the damage was done the skin and all the hair is peeling off now. Still looks lovely and clean.....and I think *touch wood* that she should be okay.

I'm pleased you are happy with Camrosa too - it is fairly remarkable stuff. Best of luck with your guy......ever thought of trying it for windgalls!!

Ahhhh Furacin - magical stuff! Excellent for lumps and bumps when wixed with DMSO!

Ye though Furacin is fantastic. Good to hear it from others that the wounds are looking good - you know what it is like when you see it all the time, you're never too sure whether it is your will to make it look better or whether it actually does.

It is probably the same stuff - we tend to share common ointments but generally over here there is a slightly different name.

lol at the DMSO!! Widely used in TB's for getting down lumps and bumps pre-sale! They call them sweat wraps at the farm I worked at - a good mixture of the 2, wrapped in clingfilm and vetrap!

I know what you mean about other viewpoints and seeing stuff daily!

on another note: Tia, were you the postee in regards to the horse buggered by silly owner who raced his horse round on lunge line, the one that does not turn up from one day to another? how is that saga going?

Yes one and the same!

The owner was given some stuff from the vet ooooh certainly over a week ago now. He was instructed on how to use it and was supposed to have started treatment straight away - needed to be done daily for 7 days - I haven't seen sight nor sound of the guy! Most peculiar folks.

Oh dear, seems like a good bang of head on wall is needed. At least the vet came, but if his treatment is not carried out it is just a waste of money anyway.
Some owners should stick to rocking horses, they do a nice range in argos haha.
good news on this posts horse though.
