I gave him sedalin, booted him up and stuck him out in the tiny field next door to his best friend, Humbug. Humbug is 25, and great for calming down my loony thing.
Well.... Sedalin didnt work AT ALL. He went absolutley bonkers!! After 10 mins of bucking, rearing, bronking, boxing, rolling, farting etc he finally calmed down and ate the grass. Then humbug decided what jack was doing looked so much fun and he started them off again!! Thought he was going to have a heart attack, little bugger!
After worrying like mad that he had undone 6 weeks of box rest, he came in sound (in walk)
And went out the next day sound
But after them two days of Jack being very happy, the horrid snow came
The poor little mite has been stuck in since. Its so bad at out yard, no matter what we put in the horses feet, the snao just builds up, i cant chance him slipping/falling. So im wishing away the snow and day by day its getting better. I feel so sorry for him
Im hoping he can go out boxing day. Then a week of turn out, then i can finally lunge him to see if he is sound in a trot or not... Fingers crossed and the famous vibes really needed please
Im really not the lucky type so im not getting my hopes up.
If he isnt sound after now 7 weeks box rest (other then two days out) i will not try the box rest again, i cant put him through more of that. He will be turned away for a year instead. But thats not going to happen is it
Wish me luck xx
