She now has to have Imuno therapy (spelling?) but even that doesn't work sometimes the vet said, anyone else been through a similar thing and is there anything i can do to help my lumpy bumpy itchy mare!!!!!

i know she didn't have it when sue had her, she owned her til she was a 2 year old i think possible 3 year old.pirate is a very itchy horse though.

The girl i got her off did say she needs a fly rug on in summer but didn't say why!!!!!!!!!!!! So many horses do have them anyway so didn't think too much about it.

my horse was tested last summer as he was really itchy and he is allergic to clover as well as lots of really way out things. The field is full of clover! I chose not to have the injections and was going to re test this year. I didnt claim on insurance and it was about £150. This year he has itched a bit but I reckon its more when the midges are arround. He tested borderline negative to them so I have just used benzyl benzuate, fly rug and touch wood things have been ok. Good luck with your horse.
