Started new regime today :)

D1 had a lesson on her in 'our new school', i.e. the one at the yard (we're the only ones there, so it's a bit like it's 'ours' :D).

Both the Dizz and the D1 were stars :D

I went into the field and got Dizz in. She was fine and calm :D. Stressed a tad in the stable and I got a whallop across a shoulder, so we had a wee discussion :rolleyes:, which consisted of me asking her nicely and quietly to move over and back up and move, etc., which she quickly settled into, dropped her head and listened to me :D. Left D1 to tack up whilst we went for a last check over of the school. D1 got a bit sidetracked grooming, so I gave a hand to tack up; I think Dizz knew we were now in a hurry because she lifted her head, never quite too high for me though, so I got her bridle on okay :)

In the school (still can't remember how to spell 'menage'!), Dizz round fairly fast in walk and trot, but D1 stayed quiet and calm and the Dizz came back to her :D. First time in this school :D. Other than a mahooosive spook when a child threw a ball for a dog and it shot past the end of the hedge just as Dizz was coming past it, she was very, very good indeed :D. Oh, and very well sat D1 as a stonker buck followed the spook :rolleyes:. Definately feeling very full of it . The buck after a spook is unusual, only done that once before, round about this time last year.

So, all in all, very pleased with the two of them :D And a very big thank you to D2 for poo picking and to D for moving rubber mats into place :D

Oh good to hear!!

How about you Mrs M, how is the recuperation going?

How is the lovely LC doing now after his stint at the vets?

Bailey sends a lick for you :D He's doing that a lot at the moment!!!

I'm improving nicely ta :D

LC is chilling well :D. He is on a diet, poor lad :(. Vet has said we can try lunging/long reining him, o get a bit of excess off . I bought another weight tape today (where do they all go!), so will be able to keep a track of how he's doing :)

Ta for the lick :D

I find it difficult to understand your posts as you seem to be talking in code. Also your use of smilies detracts from what you are trying to say. Sorry.

Why don't you just post asking what it means? No one is going to mind! :) Mrs M wouldn't mind explaining.

LL - Little Lad (a pony)
LC - Little Cob (another pony)
D1 - Daughter 1 - eldest?
D2 - younger daughter

I guess if you don't like the way Mrs M uses smilies etc just avoid the posts, which would therefore make it easier for you :)

Glad D1 is getting on well with the Dizzy one!! The Dizzy one does not sound like the easiest of horses, but hopefully they are getting used to each other and D1 can keep her fit and ready for you to get back on!

MrsM, Im glad its all looking up a bit! Hugs to all xx

Maybe not bother reading these posts then? Or just ask what the abbreviations mean?

oh dont all start- its sunday, a day of rest!!!!

Don't all start what? No one is saying anything to cause an argument.

Someone posted expressing difficulty in following a post, a couple of users posted saying that you can ask what the abbreviations mean (no harm in that surely?) and that if reading Mrs M's posts cause them difficulty because of how she chooses to use smilies, then surely it is easier to just avoid the posts altogether? If you know how someone is going to post something, and it is difficult for you to read, instead of following said user's posts and posting an unhelpful comment, surely it is better all round to just ignore??

This forum isn't what it used to be :( you either say too much or not enough and people either start a fight or think you are out to start a fight. On the flip side, it has also become too PC.

tell me about it- my comment was fairly light hearted, but full blown upsets start from nothing on here as you no doubt know and i am the least PC person that anyone could know!

LOL isn't it funny how not being able to express a tone or having someone's facial expressions or body language to go on can make things blow up so quickly?? Apologies if I misconstrued what you meant; see, the forum can apologise and be nice!!! :D

Hey, Mrs M has a big fan club as her normally kind and lighthearted posts keep us sane and lots of us love them. So on behalf of the majority pleeeeeese be nice to Mrs M and don't scare her off.

Ps If new I do understand that it might take a while to decipher but lots of us have been following dizzy's antics for so long they are just part of our life!
