Update from MOD regarding treats.

hey everyone :) as promised I contacted the MOD today! They told me that the soldiers name and number is not allowed to be posted on the internet (So I have told everyone that I have seen posting it) but dog treats can be sent to the address (minus the name and number). The only concern she had was with the postal service slowing down the number of parcels getting sent to loved ones out there serving :) Her advice was to send things sooner rather than later and not send anything at all in December. She thanked me for bringing this to her attention and said that the service dogs and adopted dogs were well looked after. :)

It wont let me edit :( I am going to send some in the New Year, That way nothing is getting delayed! :) PM me for the address minus the personal bits. The lady I spoke to said thats the general address for anyone sending anything to the OP HERRICK in Afghan :)
 
good idea :) I am willing to do that! PM me if you would like my address. I will send a parcel out. If more than 2kgs worth comes I will send in seperate parcels to save on postage costs. Together we can pick a date to send .. How about 30th December? or 5th December then they are there for Christmas?

I will post proof of postage etc ..

eta - and a message to say from the HHO forum ?
 
I think it would be better to post after December, at least then it won't clog up the system for the soldiers, the dogs won't care when they get them, I was thinking of posting periodically anyway, its not just xmas, it would be nice to get something throughout the year.

If they got out of afgan we wouldn't have to worry would we, bring them all home I say
 
There are no postage cost as parcels over 2kg are not allowed makes it more entertaining trying to figure out what will fit in a shoebox lol x
 
so say around the 30th of Dec and I will post after New Years Day? I know they are free under 2kg, Im saying if more than that comes I will do more than 1. I have a couple of PMs with address requests but will not continue any further if the forum as a whole doesn't want to .. or wants to do their seperate ones :)
