So me and my wee baby went to our 1st BS on Sunday having done our 1st SJ unaff on saturday (which he won bless him), it was a amature show so was up to height and technical, my poor boy was chucked in at deep end with a treble and 2 doubles but bless him he went round lovely, just took one pole down - Absoultely thrilled with him..!

And the progree we have made.

We will do a couple more 80cm classes to get confidence up then move to British Novice.

Ah, glad I read your link to your previous thread as I was about to ask does he rush a bit to his fences or over-jump? Only because on the pics you don't always look quite with him and he's not well placed to a couple.

Not really an issue at that size and he's evidently capable of doing the job but it may be something to work on.

Other than that, good pics and he looks to be having fun. You however - come on, smile!! :D

he is a real honest horse, never refused a fence yet, gone through water over a few small XC fences including skinnys etc, nothing seems to phase him hence why i was so desperate to hold on to him. he does everything you ask of him with out protesting at all.

I knew he would be a cracker.

(can you tell im a proud owner :-))

He is a baby ladyt25 so ive been told to leave him totally alone to work things out for himself, not to try to place him etc, just sit up coming to fence and make sure i give plenty over the fence so he can work it out for himself, so later down the line he can jump off the wrong stride if we do miss.

Smile..?? ha ha i was nervous as hell, in fact so much i did consider just going home when i seen the treble, but my friends gave me a kick up bum and told me to get on with the job in hand and to stop being a wimp and of course im glad i did as its given me the boost i needed and now willnot fret at all at our next BS.
