Well i got some more Regumate this week but as i was away working in Cardiff didn't get a chance to take it to the stables until yesterday.
I arrived and my poor girl was in a terrible state. She had hold of the metal bars in her teeth and was just stood there dragging them up and down. I called her and she turned round and looked absolutely deranged, there was so much worry and confusion in her eyes!!
I told the yard manager i was going to get her another dinner (she had already been fed) and got her first dose of Regumate straight into her!
She seemed a bit better after she had been ridden, looking forward to next week when she will hopefully be feeling the full benefits of her medicine!

can i ask how often shes turned out? And whats she generally like in the stable, does she get quite stressed out?

The only reason im asking is because my gelding gets really stressed out in his stable and totally changes in his behaviour - hes normally very laid back to handle - however in his stable hes jumpy/bargy and is generally not very happy.

ive just brought him a stable mirror which is going up in his stable tonight - just wondered if that might be a possible option fr your mare along with the regumate? x
 
My girl is like this when in season so I've recently put her on Regumate. I would say it took a good 6 weeks to notice a full difference but now she's so much better.

Ah so you went with the regumate then! Its brill stuff our y/o wife uses it and her mare is still a bit uptight she isnt evil like she was before. She was very difficult to handle before she went on it but now she is fine.

It must be so very upsetting for them to fell this way and when its fully in her system you will probably find doasge can be reduced till you find the right balance. Y/o wife has an extra dose before going out and when she comes into season.

All the best lets hope it makes her life happier and your for that matter.
 
She is turned out every day for at least 6 hours. She doesn't stress in the stable as in pacing, weaving anything like that she is just very aggressive when first approached.
She doesn't mind being in her stable while she is eating and always clears her food up.
Stable mirror sounds interesting but the way our stables are i don't think i could put one up.
 
ah i see, hopefully the regumate will work then......fingers crossed it does. Im lucky with bloss in that she dosent get hormonal, one of the othermares at the yard does tho and she gets agressive aswell.
