Just quick update for those who responded to my last post.

I revisited the horse again at the weekend, jumped him and hacked him out. Again, he was a super star, so bought him subject to vet.

He was vetted yesterday morning and passed with flying colours, (vet said previous hoof injury was nothing and not even worth mentioning) vet also commented on what a lovely temperament he had. So he is now all mine!

Then I went to olympia and bought him 4 new rugs! (I do not recommend this as getting the train home was a nightmare, but I did save a fair bit of money so I guess it was worth it!)

How wonderful for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you've opened the champers tonight!
You must be absolutely delighted!!!! Can we see a piccie of him please?
Out of interest, what rugs did you get and how much? - I'm in the market for a few rugs too and am having trouble deciding which ones are best.

Aw well done, happy new horse

How exciting! My present horse was the first and only horse I viewed - I have had him for 2 years now and he is everything I hoped he'd be and more! I've started competing now - for the first time in 20 years and I've even won a few rosettes!
Have loads of fun with your new horsey - he sounds as though he will be very spoilt, 4 new rugs already?!

Thanks all - it is exciting, I have been on cloud 9!

He will be used for hacking and local dressage, maybe the odd bit of showing/jumping.

We did celebrate with a bottle of wine at Olympia yesterday (champagne was a bit expensive after all the rugs!)

I am a numpty and forgot my camera and no idea how to upload pics from my phone. I will get some at the weekend after he has been clipped and is modelling said new rugs!

I got a weatherbeeta belmont combo heavy for the stable, Orican with neck heavy turnout, Amigo medium turnout with neck and a weatherbeeta thermocell (like thermatex but cheaper) all for just shy of £250 which I was pleased with.

thats the one! it was only £87. I am not good with posting links or anything technical like that!!

Fitted him lovely when I tried it on as well, came right up to his ears so he will be cosy, and hopefully clean!

thats good news. I hope he continues behaving himself and you have some fun with him. Keep us updated on how you are getting on please.
What a lucky boy for getting all those lovely rugs his xmas has come early.

Congratulations, it doesnt matter if its the first or 100 th horse you view, the right horse just clicks. So pictures please soon.
