Update in my doggy life

For all of you who have seen me fail with my pup, it may come as a suprise that I'm not quite thwarted yet :D

The next chapter for me I feel is a lot more mileage with dogs, I have applied to be a foster carer for a local charity :D I have a lovely home for fostering dogs, now we're into winter I have a lovely lean to at the side of my house. Its got direct access to the garden and a wipe clean slate floor with a drain :) ideal for accidents :) and a lovely walled yard outside.

I have applied for some of the older residents who may be there for a long time. Hopefully I'll get a chance to learn a lot more, with a good support network, before I move onto my own next dog.

My landlord is very happy so long as they aren't MY dogs :D so hopefully that extra space in rescue will be for one new lucky dog.

Does anyone else foster here?

Y'all need to be strong hearted for it at first.
Abe is a failed foster. Failed in that i couldn't let him go :D

Be aware that you may end up with a dog for months and months at a time.

but yay for you! Good luck.
 
TBH I think he picked up on my exasperation and didn't have any faith it was going to improve, because I didnt!

I think if I get a choice Im going to stick with terriers for the time being, unless they have an easy shep (they do have some sheps) and build up gradually!

I'm trying to find someone stupid enough to let me go to some shows with them too lol not found a victim yet!!
 
I used to foster...obviously current circumstances have changed that for the time being! Tilly is my first and only failed foster as well. Still here 7 years later :rolleyes: :D
