Omg!!! So I arrive this morning and who trots proudly out into the middle of the field with a cavorting foalie at her side?!

She's got a beautiful bay?chestnut? Filly!! Who aside from being a little muddy seems in great shape! Will update with pics later on :D

Brilliant news, glad so far so good, echo the stump spraying and would continue with that for a few days too. Pictures yes please : )

congratulations - nice to hear about what sounds like a striaght forward foaling - quick call vet and halt blood tests if not too late !!

pics please

Awww.... congratulations! Glad all went well....

So as it's the fourth of July.... you'll surely call the filly Independent Lady??? lol

oh, how lovely :)

I've just read your previous 'is she/isn't she' thread, and it's made me smile.

So pleased everything seems to have gone well, and really looking forward to pictures!

That poor locum vet will be able to go 'phew' when he hears he was definitely right, too.

Just a quick message to thank you all for your congratulations and support! Am using my phone so cant upload any pics yet, but I promise I will as soon as I can get on the computer!

Funny coincidence...the foal she had at foot when I bought her was born 4th July 2011...this foal was born 4th July 2012!
I think she must be a little early, but cant blame her as the little filly isn't quite so little!

Congratulations on your new arrival. Probably not late - but right on time. If she foaled 4th July last year, she'd have had foaling heat roughly 14 July and 1st normal cycle roughly 25th July. If she was covered on her 1st full cycle that would give you an anticipated foaling date of 2 - 5th July!
