Update on Apple Horses?

This might not be the right forum for this, but does anyone know how the horses who ate the spiked apples are doing? It was a couple of months ago and some sick piece of scum had loaded a good number of apples with nails and scattered them in a field of horses.

I really hope they are okay.

I think there was someone who's horses where kept nearby so she might have an update.
