I finally made my decision yesterday and this morning Bailey went into the vets to have a lavage system fitted and to have the ulcer on his cornea swabbed to remove any of the tissue that will impede the healing process.
He was an absolute angel this morning and loaded perfectly, got off full of interest of his surroundings when we arrived and (I am so sure my horse prefers the boys
) didn't want to go into his stable, he wanted to kiss the huge chestnut opposite him!
He is having everything done this afternoon and the vet will call me to let me know how it has all gone; fingers crossed it will go as well as possible. The vets and nurses and Wendover have been amazing, nothing is too much for them and they make you feel at home immediately. Apparently they've all been "chatting" to Bailey since I left - little things like this make me feel better about leaving him.
Lots of vibes for my beautiful Bailey that everything goes smoothly and he just gets better soon
