she had her pups this morning, two little boys, both very noisy!

Cue me worrying re there only being two and phoning vet who assured me as she was asleep and settled all was fine, and apparently uncommon but okay to only have two.

She's a wonderful mum, nursing them well and has lots and lots of milk. She keeps looking at them then at me asif to say "look!" and we keep telling her she's a clever girl

Very very happy and relieved it all went smoothly, she's now curled up with her babies after a large meal (my, she was hungry!) alsleep.

The cats have takn humbridge and she's nt liking them being around so they've gone to sleep in the boiler house where they can be fed and sleep without disturbing her.

Photos later.

Glad she had them okay. Quite surprised your vet didn't offer to check her over anyway, I always used to have bitches checked after whelping. You say the pups are very noisy, in my experience contented pups are not very noisy, a bit of crying when they wake up and can't find mum but otherwise its either sleeping or feeding. They could well have settled down now but if you do feel they are crying a lot it might be worth having another word with the vet. Hope I haven't worried you, I tend to always err on the side of caution with new pups. What breed are they?

ETS Just found your previous post, think its quite common for JRTs to have only 2 pups. We had JR bitch who only had one huge pup. Did the bitch whelp at your house after all rather than her owners? If she is in relatively strange surroundings I think I would be inclined to leave her on her own to get used to her pups without to many people around, but just keep a discreet eye on her.

yes, the vet did offer to have a look over her, but asked me loads of Q's and then said perhaps she was better being left. Don't want to move her in the car and don't want to unsettle her.
I don't know how noisy pups are meant to be. I didnt expect them to make any noise

... I never really thought about it lol. But they're 'yelping' (whining, whatever) whenever she moves away to have food or drink and it's quite loud lol.

She's been here loads over the last few weeks so knows us well. She's in as much peace and quiet as possible.
