Okay was talking to the farmer, he said that we are trespassing and that the land is infact his. I then talked to the YO and he told me that he doesnt have the deeds as there was a problem.

He said that he was at the house for 3 years, had 40 horses at a time and the farmer never once bothered him. That everything is kicking up now.

He keeps saying my horses are safe, that the farmer wont be coming onto the land.

I want to cry

Thank you, my friends prices arent cheap. Where im at its £200 per week for all mine in the stable and thats them fed etc.

Shes offering me 2 at field, 3 in the stable on diy livery for £100 a week

It does'nt look very good. It sounds like the farmer has got to the end of his tether and I would not be a bit surprised if he did not carry out his threats, what choice has the man got. Loose arrangements can lead to trouble and your YO has probably thought the farmer would wait and wait for things to be sorted out.

maybe that would be your best option for now? at least the farmer wont weedkiller fields that he himself is renting to you and you would have peace of mind that your horses are safe.

There you go, rent the fields from the farmer!

TBH the ONLY way you can get to the bottom of this is to go to the Land Registry files and find out who really is the owner!

As you said you were YM in another post and there were several liveries there wouldn't it be a simple matter to collect the money from the other liveries and pass it to the farmer so you are his direct tenant?

The house has fallen through, i was looking forward to it! They class me as the yard manager but i never handled the livery fees, that was YO.

Handed my notice in today.

Farmer really seemed annoyed, he was really nice to me. He said that he would not harm my horses, that i was the only one that did the decent thing.

Some parts do still confuse me, but looks like we are moving

Good luck with everything, at least you got to talk to the Farmer and he sounds an ok sort of bloke. I would get your horses moved as soon as possible. Not sure if the farmer would be a good option as it then looks like you are taking sides (if the YO is a friend that is) It must be very hard and stressfull for you but I am sure it will work out for the best in the end

I had a good cry today and thought about selling the horses, but i know i couldnt.

My cousin is helping me yard hunt tomorrow. There is a yard about 8-10 miles away, they can offer me field livery until the end of the summer, then can rent the whole yard for £100 p/w.

That includes 1 bale of haylage a week, 5 stables, 6 acres for grazing, sand arena, secure tack room. They live at the yard, and they love cobs lol

That sounds like something really good coming out of what you thought was a disaster. I hope it all works out but I think moving was your only option for your peace of mind really.
