Update on blood test for Cushings/EMS

Hey

Thanks for everyones help the other day !

I had the vet come out on Monday she took bloods eventually once Brig let her. We had the results back yesterday and he hasnt got Cushings which is what she suspected it was. She is comming back on Friday to retest for EMS which means starving him over night Thursday and then him having a small feed Friday morning with a certain amount of glucose in once he's had that she'll take his blood and have it tested.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever had this test done? I'm gunna feel really horrible starving him overnight but I know its for his own good.

my boy had the test twice now, hes very ir.. starve over night, give glucose 2 hours before blood is taken... my boy also has cushings...

hi,
my ems horses had a starving blood test.......tho he didnt have the glucose feed on the morning.

i just tried to ignore him as much as possible. i had three others to do so needed to walk past him alot which he took every opertunity to bite me!

I know I'm gunna feel really bad in the morning when I just muck out I'm gunna be at the yard half the time I normally am, I'm just glad I'm not the one bringing him in tomorrow night.
