Well got through the night with passing just 1 very small dropping. Still hadn't eaten or had anything to drink this morning (last had a drink and something to eat roughly 24 hours ago) although at around 6.30am did look brighter. Went back to the yard 9am to find an unsettled, pawing, rolling and uncomfortable neddy

rang vet who has just been and seen him... He had been thinking maybe a referal case but in himself horse is alert, vital signs normal although on examination there are droppings 'ready' to depart but loose although near the pelvic flexture there is a hard mass of what he is presuming is a build up of droppings. So 5 litres of paraffin later we are now enduring the waiting game of will it or wont it work!

Thank you for all the vibes so far..hope they work and fingers crossed

I was wondering about you this morning after the late night post....

Hope the paraffin does the trick - lots more poo vibes for Ernie <<<<>>>>>>

<<<<<vibes>>>>> for a nice big dollop of poo for you to clean up and get all watery eyed over

Seriously though I hope the paraffin works ((hugs))

Urgh.....another update!!

Just been down to check him....again

Hasnt Poo'd

although did produce a small squishyish one about 4pm ish, and its been a good 12 hours since the vet tubed him with the paraffin....have never wanted a horse to poo so much.

And to add to that he hasnt drunk anything since Sunday other than the water when tubed.

On a good note right at this min he isnt showing any signs...just stood slighly dejected in the stable! but clear evidence he has been dwn, rolling and pawing at some point in the last 4 hours!
