Update on daisy the whippet

Hi all,

Just a quick update on daisy who had half her thyroid and one of her 2 lumps removed before Christmas. Histology came back and she has low grade cancer in the early stages. She is booked in on Friday for removal of the other half and the other lump. The report that came back was that if we remove it then the outlook for her future is really positive. So thanks all for your support. Crossing fingers that all goes smoothly and that she comes home with a bottle of thyroxine tablets on Friday afternoon to a long and happy future x

Glad to see your update was thinking about you and Daisy. Sorry to hear your news but glad there is positive action the vet can take. My boy is doing ok at the moment still mad and enjoying life but his tumours are getting bigger in his mouth so it's just a matter of time before he is too uncomfortable and I have to let him go. At least I'm getting him to eat - loves cat food - so he can have Metacam to keep him pain free at the moment. Hope Daisy continues to do well xx

No you're right, not great, could have been better, but could have been a log worse... Knowing my luck this is a real positive x

I keep thinking about you and your boy, I really hope you have as many pain free days as possible... If it were any of mine and I knew what was round the corner.... God, I just do not envy you xx (((hugs)))
