Hi all, thanks for your wishes... Just been to see Disney and Willow... Disney is doing as well as she could do at this moment in time, vets have said she's by no means out of the woods yet but is doing everything right so far... She seemed so much more lively this evening and was trying to buck and play. The plasma has helped her immune system and so far the septicaemia hasn't made it to her blood stream which is a huge relief!! They're still having to get her up every hour but she's really trying to get up herself now too, she's also now putting weight on the leg which is a great sign....

All I can do now is hope.

Will know a little more in morning...

Xx

P.s. Am thinking of changing her proper name ( if she makes it that far :( ) to EFS Costa lotta money... X

Hope your foal continues to improve..

My friend has a cat called Costa - for the very same reason..result of a traffic accident and a lot of vets bills!

Hey all...

Disney managed to get up on her own last night... :D haven't heard from vet this morning but last night he said that all was as well as could be! She's putting alot more weight onto the leg and is trying to buck and play alot more. Won't know blood results ( for infection and antibodies level ) until later on, but they're quite hopeful that they'll be normal ...

We've got a long way to go still but I'm starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel for my poor baby xx
