I posted with photo's and a video of this little chap yesterday and he is just wonderful! I got him in today and he was so chilled in all this wind I couldn't beleive it, groomed him, picked his feet up and tacked him up - all ok!

His owner said he was funny to have his girth done up but he was brilliant today, also she said i should lunge him before i got on him to get rid of the excess energy - i fully intended on doing this but thought he seemed chilled enough to just hop on and he was! :D!!

I managed to do my girth up and changed my stirrups whilst on him - he's never stood for this, always panicked and cantered off but today - pfft not a problem, super cool pony:cool:

Went up and down my lane letting him take in all the farm scenery, the ponies out on the fields, sheep and flapping plastic in the wind and although twitchy (cant say i blame him!) he didn't panic (which he can occasionally do - he's only 5!) Then I took him into the field and popped him over a little Canoe I have - it was the only thing that was ready to jump (didn't fancy getting off him, heaving jumps around and then finding something to get on him from).. and bless his little cotton socks, he popped over it 4 times! :D

So after that I called it a day, thought it's his first day with me and already he's improved so tomorrow we will start on the schooling properly, getting the walk and trot perfect and then progress onto the canter transitions in future weeks! I think i'm going to take him cubbing/hunting in a few weeks as i really think this will help with his confidence an awful lot and also got a fun ride planned for him on the 30th :p

Hopefully this gorgeous little chap will find a home, he's proving to be a lot less jumpy than i thought - obviously this is only day one.. so he may go back to normal tomorrow (HOPE NOT!) :)
