update on farrier coming

farrier came to do his feet and couldn get no where near him he didn want to stress him no more then he already was about his feet being touched so got to have vet out to sedate him now hopefully this will be the only time i need to call vet as for last two days managed to stroke and touch one of his legs and hoof without to much trouble at all
 
Having had the same problem with the bug girl, I would suggest that you will need the vet at least once more, possibly twice and then try sedaline. We had her sedated by the vet three times and have used sedaline twice (and will continue with sedaline for a good few more times) she is trimmed inside as being outside stresses her more. We did persevere for a while with trimming her without sedation, but she towed me and the farrier round the yard, even when twitched. The current method is much less stressful for us all. She is a 17hh ShireXClydesdale so has some power.
