It’s rare for horses in the UK to get it (fungal infection), as it is usually found in warm humid climates, so goodness knows how she got it.

She is off to the clinic tomorrow to get a hole drilled into her sinus which they will flush for about a week. Hopefully that will clear it up, and it won’t re-occur, but as there are so few cases we will just have to wait and see.

how did your horse get on...mine had the same rare thing diagnosed last week, i have just removed her catheter tonight...hole looks huge

My horse had all the flush pipes in 3 years ago for a slightly different reason. The holes heal up really quickly but do leave a little bit of a scar.
