Update on getting mare in-foal

I have been emailing Meadow Stud where Pro-Set is standing, and they could have not have been more helpful! I asked if Pro-Set does natural coverings, and yes he does (very surprising, im soooo pleased). I told them how my mare did not get in-foal after 3 inseminations last year (by AI) and they said they would only charge me a percentage of the stud fee if she didn't take and they have a very experienced vet who deals with these kind of mares.

So im very pleased indeed. No she might not get in-foal and yes i might waste a lot of money, but its worth a try.

So Thank You so much becki2003 for letting me know that Pro-Set does natural coverings in the first place

I'll let you know what happens and whether Lottie does go (which i think she will).

Glad to hear that, hope it all goes smoothly for you both!
It's surprising how many mare don't take to AI but have never been a problem with natural coverings (the only 2 I tried with AI failed to conceive but went straight in foal with natural covering the next time - and there were no medical problems with either of them!)
