Thanks to everyone who helped last night.
Vet came out this morning, cleaned it up, gave him antibiotics (and left a course for me to give him) and re-polticed it.
She was hopeful it would heal up without complications and I was pleased with how much happier he looked in himself.
He is still quite lame and with quite a lot of heat and swelling in his leg, but hopefully the antibiotics will help with that!
