I was so nervous about viewing this horse today, purely because of bad experiences in the past so I wasn't keeping my hopes up.

However...It was fab!

Owner let me watch them ride and hack out and then I hopped on. He was such a quiet lad, even on our little hack, he was as good as gold.

I was told that lessons on him are fine, which will do me lots of good as I will be able to become more confident and help me to form a partnership with him so I'm really looking forward to that.

The owner is so genuine and down-to-earth, we got on quite well and had a good banter which was great.

Can't wait til next time, will hopefully have some piccies to share with you all soon!

The only thing I need to work on is stopping him from leaning on my hands - any advice?

Wow sounds great. Look forward to the piccies :D
Oh, the leaning issue. My instructor used to say a horse can only lean when its got something to lean against. I think that translated to , get him off your leg and on a light contact, then hes working from behind and not leaning and on his forehand. Good luck

Thanks guys, I will check with the owner r.e. posting piccies first. :D

Thanks for the tip - will bear it in mind for next time I go to the yard.

:)
