Update on jumping saddle on a cob - and a how much please!

I tried Murphy in the jumping saddle my friend is selling yesterday. It sat perfectly on him, didn't move, and held me in a really good position - I felt so much more secure.

We ended up jumping nearly 2ft9, pretty much the biggest we've ever jumped

and Murphy was more forward going than normal, with his little ears pricked - so he seemed pretty happy.

I do however have a slight reservation that it's a bit tight at the front so I'm not 100% sure about it yet but I'm borrowing it for a few days to see how we get on. I did take pics last night, hopefully will upload them tonight.

If I do decide I want it I need to sell my current saddle, so I'm wondering how much I'd get for it.

It's a Wintec Wide cob saddle, 16.5", well used but still in good condition. Some of the plastic has split/come off the girth straps but the straps themselves are sound. I've got all the purple gullets, plus an extra red one. I don't have the knee rolls for the saddle. How much do you guys think I could get for it?
 
If you can borrow it for a bit I think it is worth paying to get a fitter out to check it. sorry no idea on price!
 
I can borrow it until the weekend - so not sure I'd have time to get a fitter out

plus if I pay for a fitter I'm not sure I can afford the saddle

If I'm not convinced it's OK I won't get it because it would mean selling a saddle I know is OK for him(although not perfect according to saddle fitter - I have to use a thick numnah with my current saddle)
 
Check on ebay to see how much they are going for (sorry I don't know!!). Cobs are hard work when it comes to saddles, there seems to be a lot less choice. I would also get a fitter out or ask your instructor what they think.

I'd say try and pay around £120-£150 ish. I got a perfect condition throwgood saddle without gullets but with fish for £110 so I'd say the price I suggested is reasonable.
 
I don't have an instructor but could ask my YOs (who are qualified instructors) to take a look for me and see what they think.

I've had a look on ebay and there's only a few wintec wide saddles on there - so it's difficult to compare!

I was thinking £150, maybe a bit less if that seems like a lot? It's got loads of life left in it so would do someone for a long time.
