Update on mare with laminitis

She is due in two weeks, but prognosis is not good, was thinking about putting her to sleep today?? would have if he pushed then said the foal deserves the chance, we have to see how she foals as to when, gutted seems im to have a crap year again.

Really hope she foals ok and if possible manages to get better.

not so straight forward, she has a secondary abcess which has left a massive hole in her foot which has been dug out, she is ok in herself, nothing stops her eating but she has dropped weight. not giving up though, she deserves to see baby and try and keep her going untill she says enough.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your poor mare. Just try to keep in mind that vets usually operate on 'worse case scenario'. I really hope that you have your mare at the end of it all. Keep your chin up.x
