Hi everyone,

I soooooooooo wanted to give you a really good happy post about my lesson, after my very depressing hate my life post last week, but there is always a but !!

After reading all your great replies I thought must stop feeling sorry for myself and get back to it, bad days happen as you said with one or two legs lol, so Thursday comes and I tell my instructor that we have had a bad time last few days so she says back to basics no pressure on me or Ebony, great thinks I.

Lesson starts well, and we then start to work in trot nice a calm, then some person who has not had permission by the farmer starts shooting, Ebony in a flash goes into fight or flight mode, I come out the side door but my quick release iron well put it like this is not that quick, I get dragged half way up the school being trod on and kicked as she went into panic mode as this thing ie me was chasing her, it does brake at last and I looked like a Chinchilla that had had a sand bath lol.

Got back on and finished the lesson, then went and got checked out mild concussion and cuts and very black bruses all over, the only part of me that does not kill is my bloody false leg lol, oh well the main thing is we are both ok and it could have been worse, and it was really all that you had said last week that made me realiase that these things happen when we are around horses, got a horrid cold the day after but week on feel better and wanted again to say Big Thanks to you all for giving the kick up the bum that I needed, nest lesson now saturday if not too sore, watch this space !!!

hope you are not too sore tomorrow!!

hugs but a HUGE well done for realising 'these things happen' and will always happen especially around horses

However we know this and still love it (well apart from the odd time when it gets too much)

deep breath and big smile :D

Well done for realising that lots of horses will dump you if some prat decides to start firing a gun nearby, although it seems very unfair that it had to happen to poor you of all people!!

You sound like you are very nearly a tough old boot of a horsewoman now: all you need to do is smoke 60 Senior Service cigs a day, have more wrinkles than face and when taking a crashing fall next time, be heard to mutter 'Blasted silly old collarbone breaking like that, what a nuisance' :-))))))))

We all think you are amazing.

Hee hee, you must have seen me then lol

Nice to see the "lol" in the post and that despite this latest incident you are feeling more positive. We all eat dirt occasionally - it takes a true horsewoman to smile and say yum!

you don't like a simple life do you;):D hope someone had bloody strong words with the idiotic shooter, in fact i'd have called the police if he was there without permission:mad:
now don't take this the wrong way as i'm not laughing at your accident but your posts do make me laugh, you obviously have a great sense of humour and it really comes through on your posts:D for all that life has thrown at you you still just keep on getting up brushing yourself off (bloody sand gets everywhere ;) ) and making the most of your life, bloody well done you:D:D

You really are a fighter aren't you? You have my utmost respect and admiration and I feel very humble reading your posts. Good luck for next weeks lesson x

Well done on booking your next lesson!

As you said, these things happen to anyone around horses (My pony would have done exactly the same!) - you might have a slight disadvantage with your leg, but you sound like a very determined, inspiring person who I am sure will come through the tough times and continue to be the fighter you are.

Your next job needs to be to go and find the person who was shooting and 'pop a cap in their ass' lol!

Well done to you for getting yourself sorted out.
Sorry to hear your lesson did not go as planned but you now seem to be a member of the glass is half full camp.
Keep it up, I wish you all the very best.
Fingers and toes crossed for you for an event free lesson next time.(wouldnt want you to cross them I imagine it would hurt)

Good grief you don't do things by halves do you:D By the law of averages your next lesson should be a really good one:)
Well done you for laughing in the face of adversity. I wish I had just a tiny bit of your courage and determination, you continue to be an absolute inspiration to all of us.

Silly fart shooting a gun around horses! You'll be getting sand off you for the next week, it gets everywhere! I have been on holiday and I'm still getting it out of my ears now... Among other places:eek: Although I much prefer my way of getting sandy to yours.

Hopefully this is the cherry on the cake as it were, and things will run smoothly again for you now. Good to see your sense of humour back on top form!

xx

Wow you are an inspiration and very brave with it!! Well done you, and don't we all know how to roll about in the sand somewhat inadvertently!!

Well done you for picking yourself back up and eating back on... With life and your lesson!

Your a strong an brave person to do that and you deserve much more credit then what you seem to give yourself :)

Your the kind of person who gives us all a smile on our faces and we want to see succeed!

I genuinely wish you all the best, take the rough with the smooth and never let anyone knock you down. They are only jealous!

Good luck ;)
