If you've read my previous post about not getting anywhere, you'll know that I am a serious happy hacker and always have been, never wanting to set foot inside an indoor school! But I bit the bullet and had an individual lesson today - and it was FAB
And my GOD I've got a lot of bad habits to undo LOL! I need to improve my hand position and general transition work, but it was soooo good, having one-to-one tuition made every bit of difference, and I'd explained my hearing difficulty to the instructor so she followed me around the school so I could hear her.
Did a bit of halt-trot/trot-halt transitions, shoulder-ins (which I was hopeless at LOL
) and some canter work, and the plan to get over some jumps next time!
Only problem is, I want next time to be tomorrow!! Sorry for the mad ramble but I am so happy, it's the first lesson I can truly say I've enjoyed and it did wonders for my confidence. I know I have a whole load of things to improve on, but I really feel that with regular lessons I can do it.
Do I dare dream....that somewhere inside me is a confident rider waiting to jump out??
