Well, he has been home for about 10 days now, and I think he is slowly improving. He is a bit underweight and has lost all his muscle - has almost no topline, and his neck is so skinny I can almost get my hands around it!

But, I am being careful when I ride him - I'm just trying to get the muscle built up again, and hopefully take him out affiliated after christmas again.

Anyway, thought I would post a few pictures - these were taken at the weekend; (please ignore my rubbish position, have spent last year hunting and jumping, so getting my dressage seat back, lol)

Thanks guys - now he is getting back into the routine of being worked everyday, he is really starting to enjoy things again - he is a horse that thrives on being worked!

Was a bit naughty and took him to a dressage comp at the weekend - only a novice test, but went HC. Thanks to Ottinmeg who took the pics

I think she has become my official photographer, lol.

Eaglestone - you are more than welcome to come for a visit, and if you have to bring my sister, I guess that is ok

sorry if its been explained in another thread, but if you're concerned about his topline etc, why ride him in a double? surely this will tire his muscles out and lead to potential strains? to be fair i dont think he looks too bad, but st wondering

If that is how he moves with no muscle and topline he is going to be very exciting to watch when he is back to fitness!

I couldn't have put it better! He's super! And I wish I could ride even half as well as you!
